About the Author
“the child’s place” has been in the making for some forty (40) years, though for some of those years, the author/illustrator did not know it.
She now knows that GOD knew because HE had been preparing her way ever since she asked HIM, desperately and sincerely, how to raise her children in a manner that would be glorifying to HIM and edifying to them.
The answer came in a voice, “Teach them all that you know, in a way they will understand.” They were babies at the time, so their training and learning came as ABCs, numbers, colors, songs, and visualized Bible verses, and as they grew, they were taught what she learned as she read and studied GOD’s WORD. Since the beginning, the letters, numbers, colors, verses and songs have gone through many transformations to the present format.
The author has co-written VBS and Sunday School curriculums, taught in and supervised VBS programs, taught in Sunday School and Wednesday night Bible Study for children, and taught on all levels of public school (elementary) to Honors English, Speech and Theatre (secondary level).
She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in English and Speech from the University of the District of Columbia and a Master of Arts in Communication (Cinema/Television Program Production/Theatre) from Regent University. She is a wife, mother of five, and grandmother of nine.
